Teddy has extensive experience in general management, academia, marketing/sales, business, and technology consulting in global environments. He delivered turnaround business success in a down economy with a proven ability to transform emerging businesses into market leadership positions, and has working experience from Germany, Switzerland, England, USA, South Africa, and now Ethiopia. Currently as Managing Director of Ethiopian Institute of Technology in Mekelle/Ethiopia Teddy is helping the Government in transforming the engineering institution into working German model, and driving Business Process Reengineering within Academics, Finance, HR, Legal, Facility Mgmt., and IT. Previously holding a Dean position, within College of Engineering and Information Sciences at DeVry University in Houston/TX; before he was responsible for MS degree as a Chair at Phoenix Univ. Previously he was a CTO of a $25 million medical-media enterprises in NY, and CEO of Publishing/Printing Company in Houston/TX. At HP/Compaq/DEC, holding broad array of a senior management roles, leading P&L growth from $10 million to $300 million for emerging technologies including enterprise imaging, high-performance computing and visualization solutions; he pioneered smart card/biometrics business by Compaq US/Europe. His industry background spans the process industry, R&D/education, electronics, and government markets.
With a broad-based background as an innovative engineer and IT expert, Teddy authored various articles in international publications in engineering and information technology. Additionally, he was an invited speaker to numerous international symposia and conferences. Teddy is multilingual in English, German, Russian, Polish, and basic French. His PhD and MS degrees are from Karlsruhe University in Germany, known for many Nobel prize winners, and M. Business from Berne University in Switzerland
