EIT-M holds In-house Workshop on Citizen’s Charter Development

Workshop organized by citizen’s charter development committee, Ethiopian Institute of Technology –Mekelle University was held at Axum Hotel Mekelle on 26 April, 2017

Doctor Hadush Goitom, Scientific director of EIT-M with the rank of vice president, warmly welcomed the participants of the in-house workshop underlining the importance of the workshop from the perspective of customer/stakeholder satisfaction by making the activities of the institute easy, fast and reliable. Furthermore, he underscores that it focuses on creating a transparent, accountable, peaceful and productive relationship with customers/stakeholders and excellence in teaching learning, research and community services, technology transfer and innovation and enhancing governance and administration while also expressing his gratitude to all who took part in making the in-house workshop come true.

Doctor Kindeya Gebrehiwot, the president of Mekelle University, also made an opening speech at the beginning of the workshop and he expressed the importance of such undertakings for MU to become one of the top 25 African universities in the coming ten years.Presentation of the proposed citizens charter was then made by Ato Teklay Gebremaryam, citizen’s charter development committee and member of EIT-M Entrepreneurship office.

 A warm group discussion on the charter was made by participants from all EIT-M offices followed by the presentation of each group’s assessment and suggestions on the charter for improvement.

Reflection/feedback was given by Doctor Hadush Goitom and members of citizen’s charter development committee.
