Abstract:  “The customer is god, he is not dependent on us, we are dependent on him “such a valuable quote of mahatma gandhi is so true for a today’s competitive global scenario of business. customers may have many choices but a business man cannot ignore any customer considering his heavy investments on his business. present digital era has opened multiple means and routes for customers as well the business world. through information highway information flows quickly and with hardly any barriers. now companies cannot rely on what company executives or decision maker think, rather should bother much about what customer think. they should have adequate customer caring policies and activities. an enterprise whether it is selling product or logic need to collect, measure and analyze all round i.e. official or unofficial ,  structured and unstructured data from a variety of sources in order to give excellent customer service. then only they can make them different from their competitors and achieve top recordsales, revenue and profitability. customer relationship management (crm) is the backbone of successful business. this article high lights a practical set of challenges faced in crm. also discusses and suggests some best practices in all sort of industries or business.  by this way the article gives better ideas for existing and new business policy maker and investors to take careful steps for better crm before starting or expanding their business. also this article gives clear picture how to implement crm, what are basic elements of it and how  reengineer business process to maximize the life of industry with profits.
